Night set out with her green-tinted Chimchar.

I laughed a little when my Piplup tried going after a wild Starly and couldn't figure out how to fly after it.
"Lee!" the Starly screeched at it, before flying out of sight. Piplup looked a bit disappointed.
"It's okay, we'll battle something else." I assured it.
"Piplup..." it muttered.

Night spotted a Kricketot in the distance.
"A Kricketot! We can catch that!"
Chimchar gave her a look like she was crazy. Night understood--Kricketot can only learn Bide and Growl at first. But once evolved, it has a more versatile move pool.

Piplup was almost to level 8.
"Good job! We've almost reached our goal!" I praised.
"Lup!" Piplup happily replied.
"Just about 3 or four more battles, and we're there!"

Night engaged in battle with the Kricketot.

By the time we reached Sandgem Town, Piplup was one battle away from level 8.
"I think we're okay. We'll take a break for a while and then continue on. We'll shoot for level ten by the next town." I offered. Piplup seemed to like that idea.

Night managed to capture the Kricketot before its Bide could start, and she began training both Chimchar and Kricketot.

I had gotten Piplup and myself something to eat on our break. Once we were done, we were all set to get back out there and train some more!

Spooky approached Night

Right before I went on to the next route, I bought ten Poke Balls and a few Potions. We were ready to ROLL! The first wild Pokemon we ran into was a Shinx.
"OMG so cute!" I squealed. I had to catch it.
"Piplup! Water Gun!" I ordered. It did as it was told. The Shinx was knocked down to a little less than half its HP.
"Time to throw a Poke Ball!" I chimed, getting one ready. The Shinx was getting ready to bolt. (Ahahaha! Get it? Bolt?)
"Piplup! Keep it here!" I ordered. Piplup kept it towards me. It eventually got close enough for me to toss the Poke Ball, so I did. The Shinx went in. The Ball shook once. Twice. Thrice. And.....it clicked! The Shinx was caught!

Spooky simply grabbed Night's arm and dragged her off

"now to train you both!" I said, calling the Shinx back out.

(Spooky: You wanna join her? *Points to Night*)
Spooky 'walked' right past Madelyn still dragging Night

Night was struggling against the phantom girl's grip.
"Ah! Chimchar, use Ember!" shouted the panicked fox.
