Do you think I should replace Creed with a simpler, brighter theme such as the one above?

The one above would have clouds animating in the background.

If not, tell me why, if yes, tell me why.

Also, any improvements/criticisms to the new theme?

I really like the colour scheme and the hills/landscape theme of the entire background. To me, it's quite pleasing to the eye and makes me feel relaxed since I particularly like these sorts of landscapes. I already gave my suggestion about the text so I guess I'll leave it here. I think this would be a great change to the current background :)

It looks great Alan! As IM said, it looks relaxing and the animated clouds would look awesome, another suggestion, if possible, maybe the grass could move too? Hope my reply helped! :D

It's good as long as the Wingull is also animated. How about a theme with animated snow there as the Christmas is coming near too :)

This one looks a lot better than the current one. So it woukd be a goid idea to replace it. Thats what i can say

Yeah this background is really nice and pleasant. It's colour don't hurt eyes. If you change it then it'll be great.

To be honest, I much prefer that new one to the current one (even though I really like the Sinnoh legends. XD). It's relaxing and quite pleasing to the eye.
I agree with the others, about having the Wingull and maybe the grass move, too.
Otherwise, it would honestly look kinda weird.

But I really like the idea!

I do love the new creed theme. There is however one thing that kinda bothers me. And that's the Wingull. It doesnt really fit in with the landscape. Now you see the pixels quite good which, in my opinion, looks a bit odd. So maybe you can make it blend in more or make a Wingull in the same style. This way I think it would come out better.

Not bad, but as Energie said, the wingull doesn't match the background. Maybe make it more Pokemon Orientated. Other than that, really good. :)

looks good, but add some shadowing/lighting to the wingull so it really blends in with the background.
also, lighter in game themes would compliment this login screen pretty nicely

My opinion is

U could add a legendary or a cute pokemon along with wingul.... if it is animated it's better ...
It's better than the current one.
