In the Account Preferences, I set the "Block Friend Requests" in the "General Preferences" to yes, and hit the Update button, but it keep going back to No (default) setting.

In the new created "Block setting", I have it set to yes there to, but I still get people requesting friends.

Not sure if the two are related or not.

Same thing happens to me, and to zapdos too if i remember correctly.

In my opinion, 90% of the peoples that tries to befriend only looking for freebies, they figures "oh he/she is rich, I'm going to befriend them, and then create ton of trades for their good stuffs and give them nothing or lame map pokemons or worthless item or money or I'm going constantly pm them begging them for free stuffs, and using I request to be friend, so please accept my trade(s)".

If I want someone on my friend list I will add them myself.

GrimReaper is right, i get like 100 Friend Requests lol.
