hi. first of all, i tried catching a pokemon.

bought 2 pokeballs, managed to get 1 pokemon.

and when i went to my 'pokemon' page.. onlly my starterpokemon shows up. Glitch ?

Second of all, i cant fight other pokemons in the forest zone.
The only thing poping up when i find a pokemon in the forestzone is : capture pokemon.

..

So now im outta money.(since i bought 2 pokeballs to capture 1 pokemon.. and then it didnt appear, so im outta money and outta pokeballs. and i only have my starterpokemon..

..
And i cant level my pokemon too.
cause i cant fight the other pokemons i find in the forest zone.

Any help here?

interestingly, when i click on the button 'Your Pokemon' only my current free starter pokemon shows up...

Yet when i click on 'my profile' button and then on''view all pokemon'

my pokemon do show up there..

So how do i get to use my pokemon?

go to your pokemon. click search pokemon... then numbers 1-6 will show... click 2 on the pokemon u caught and it should go into ur party...

as for lvling up go to npc on left and fight swimmer richard (make sure u learn bolt strike first)

thats very nice and stuff.

But what i mean with 'not newbie friendly' is that somebody who starts this game for the first time might be chased away..

Thats what i call 'newbie friendly. that things show up on 'intuitive pages'

let me explain..

When you capture a pokemon. you expect your 'my pokemon' button to actually show the pokemon you captured.

I néver expected to have to use the 'search' function to find the pokemon i just captured.

Its just very hard for a new person to figure out.

Maybe you can add a 'beginners' menu to the game.
That has maybe even a 'youtube video'' on how to play the game.

or a page with screenshot showing new players how to do it, step by step.

Just do fighting in NPC fights.

You can't fight the pokemon on the maps, you can only capture them.

If you want to train, go to the npc fights, my advice for beginners is like becbec said to fight the swimmer richard, keep using bolt strike.

You can place your pokemon into your party by clicking on Your Pokemon, then select the letter the pokemon starts with. Then pick the next free slot ( 1-6 ) to place it there.

You are right, it's quite complicated, but once you read through everything in the left hand and right hand side you can figure it out. There are also a lot guide's in the forum for beginners.

could not have explained it any better than crixus

although it might help to catch a ghost typed pokemon like gastly or duskull
then instead of swimmer richer the 3rd on that row "bird tamer" he uses 2 pokemon to fight pidgeot and doduo
both easy targets if you use bolt strike

but the best part is when your using a ghost type pokemon he wont get hit by the birds attacks becouse they are immume to normal typed attacks

If you want money just to buy pokeballs there are many people who give free money to starter cause it is very easy to get on advance trainers like since I gain 600 lvl per battle it is likely said I gain maybe more than 100 pokeballs
