I was in a battle and a popup said that i cant click the moves too quickly or else ill be banned for macroing. What exactly IS macroing?

It's something like a verification. It's to verify if either you're using a bot or something. Just type the code.

macroing is using a program to battle for you, that you can set on an infinite loop (meaning your pokemon would level up constantly and you'd get a lot of money).

Macro is pretty much an auto-clicker. It's something you set it to do a pattern of key strokes/mouse clicks and it can repeat over and over or do it once.
