What do you think of the new update about sometimes spending forum credits to buy promos? I personally think it is a good idea, since people will start to get more active on forums :)

Yea but a lot of people will get banned cause they will spam just to get the credits for the promos :x

Personally, there are con and pro to the forum credit/buying promo.

Con-
-It not really fair to the new comer in the games (the one that been here a week or so), and dont have enough time to post on the site between school, and family responsibility They will be forces not to get it, and what if was their favorite pokemon. at least if someone cant afford it with the old option, the people with tons of coins most likely will give them the double the coins it worth to buy for them, tell them to keep the rest of the coins for themselves.
-What about peoples that doesn't like posting, they will be forces to neither post before the promos come out or not to get the promos
- and then there are ones that mass spammed the forum on day that promos come out, and that lead up to them getting banned.

-Yes, it does get the forum more active
but since several of the sections that get the most post doesn't give you forum credit...The Contest, Trade/Market, Off-topic section, is it really worth is, if people continues to spammed the other section to get forum credit, they will takes off too.

- It does help stop the Proxying.

IMO, they should have three option for you choose from:
1. Do the Forum Credits and less coins (like 100 forum Credits and 50 coins or...
2. Buy the promos with coins but at a higher prices like 10 times more then what it cost in option one, but you can only get one per ip.
3. make you do something in the game first and then able to buy it, like catching a certain amount of pokemon on the map or makes you battle Bug Catcher 100 times.

I just haven't been on as much as I used to so I didn't have many forum credits x.x

the first option help out the peoples with less coins and lot of forum credit, and the second option help out the peoples with tons of coins but less forum credits and the last option help out the players that just started the game that doesnt have time to posts or get coins.

You just have to be active in forums daily to get a lot of credits so it isn't that hard :s

The extra activeness on the forums leads to spam. It already has begun in the contest section where the 100th post receives a prize.

there lies the problem,I'm not that much of poster, only posts when I feel the need to post in, I wont post in a thread/section that doesn't interest me just to get forum credit (like half the people did today to get forum credits). and the sections that I mostly posts in doesn't give forum credit.

Yeah there should have been 3x options as Grim said.. These forum credits is a nice idea after all xD
