what the point of Exp Lock?
according to Winter Hidenka post:

EXP Lock:
Finally, is a wearable item that prevents its holder from gaining any EXP. It can be obtained from the Dark Alley.


meaning the starter pokemon (or training pokemon)

but when you point the mouse arrow on the item it say:
If the holder of this item faints the opposing pokemon, no pokemon in your party will gain any experience.


When I read Winter Hidenka post, I thought it means if you attach a exp share to another pokemon and Exp lock to the starter pokemon, then the pokemon with Exp share will get all the Experience, and the pokemon with Exp lock get nothing.

No offense in all, but what good of it if you can't use it to level up your weaker pokemon a little faster.

It doesn't work that way for me, I attached a exp share to my Ho-Oh level 5 and a Exp lock to my training pokemon (shadowBreloom), and after I battle Richard the swimmer, I check to see if my Ho-Oh that have Exp share attach gain any level, and it was still at level 5.

it makes all the pokemon in your party unable to gain EXP... I dont know y u wuldnt want any pokemon in your party to gain EXP tho

That my point, why would anyone want a item that prevent any pokemon in their roster to gain any EXP. I brought the Item think that only the pokemon that holding Exp Lock wouldn't get any EXP, but the pokemon with Exp Share attached will get all EXP.

Exp Lock - "If the holder of this item faints the opposing pokemon, no pokemon in your party will gain any experience"

Basically locks the Exp of the poke so it can't gain exp at all :o

This way you can train and not level your pokes if you know what i mean if you want you poke all 9999 and they were all 9999 and you wanted it to stay that way use Exp Lock and you can still train while having your desired level :o

what the point of Exp Lock?
Maybe they have a Pokemon in their party they don't want to level up.
For example: When training and all the your Pokemon faint except your Pokemon you want to show off has to finish off the enemy so you can at least get the training experience for your trainer level without restarting the battle and leveling up the level 5. I don't know if that made sense I was trying to word it better lol.

Edit: Also I believe in the actual game if you have a level 100 and give a level 1 an EXP share and defeat a level 57 Audino or something the Level 1 wouldn't get all the exp just half still.
