Two easy Steps to help figure it out.(As Suggested by vickysingh)
1. Discover the type.
2. Use Vowles.
3. Use Pokedex (As Suggested by ash20111 And vickysingh)

Great move by our mod to put a thread for this game. Thank you fireheart666. People often get confused about how to solve hangman riddles as you get only 4 to 5 chances if you make a mistake. So, i'll just make my suggestions more clear.

1. Check from the scrambled word if it says rainbow, shiny, shadow, golden, or cursed pokemon. If its not its a normal pokemon.
2. Use vowels (a,e,i,o,u). As we know there is no pokemon that has no vowel in their name.
3. Use pokedex. If you have found the first character of the name of the pokemon use the pokedex to go to the character, check the number of characters the pokemon has in its name and match with the pokemon. If you havent found the first character of the pokemon (ofc u r doomed), ignore the characters you have already used and try matching it with other entries in the pokedex. For example, if the pokemon is shiny-something, you donot need to search the characters s, h, i, n, y. Ofc who says getting points is easy. o.O
And my 4th suggestion which was never included,
4. God help you, if you still can't figure how to do this.

well ofcourse it is a RAINBOW _ _ _ _ A _.

Now just try and check which pokemons have A on their second last character and are of 6 characters long e.g. CROBAT, EMBOAR etc.

(only if name is too big that it seems that it has colored ) first we can check for vowels as vicky said then in between :
(1)if we find a to be the 2nd then try rainbow
(2)if e is 5th then try u if u is 2nd then it is cursed if u then it is golden
(3)if a is third it is shadow
(4)if i is 3rd then it is shiny
(5)if i is 4th then it is luminous

Clearly its a normal poke..so u need to look in the pokedex..of a poke which has 9 characters in its name..

See now you have figured everything you could..if u dunno how to progress..consult the pokedex by ignoring the letters that have occured..i checked and see wot i got..
