Hello there I was in auction the other day, and i wanted to bet on a lvl 1.4k the previous person had only betted 200 coins. but when ever i try to outbid him even when i put over 800 more coins than him, it says the pokemon's level exceeds your trade cap. and im totally clueless to what it means. Can anyone tell me about it?

That means That you don't have the required trainer level. You need for That pokemon a trainer level of which is the Same as the level of the pokemon.
