Elementary my dear Watson, the chicken simply crossed the road to get to his time machine to travel back and warn all the other chickens that one day we humans would consume tons of them and steal their eggs for food, and by doing this the chicken planned to save all chickens from their horrible fate in the future, but the chicken had already done this many times before and will continue to keep trying, so it wont be the last time he/she crosses the road, and that, is why the chicken crossed and still crosses the road this very day ^-^

The chicken? Oh. It crossed the road because it was tired of being mistreated by the other chickens. So he got his suitcase and began a new life. He crossed the road to become a business man you see. But they just wouldn't hire him.
