Welcome to the Akatsuki Islands, a chain of islands off the east coast of Johto.

You will recieve a Pokemon from Professor Oak in Bloomian Town, where you live.

The island, despite being seemingly elegant, is a tough and gritty place. Your Pokemon CAN perish in battle, and not even the Pokemon Centers will save them. In addition, you're only allowed to catch only one Pokemon, or else the wild Pokemon population will diminish. You are given three chances to get the Pokemon you want. (Fortunately for them, unlike your Pokemon, they only become unconscious for a short period before being battleable again.)

However, there are shady activities going on, and Pokemon the likes that has been never anticipated are being found in the wild.

Can you beat the Akatsuki Pokemon League, or will you fall?

Appearance: She is quite unique looking and slightly un-human-like, though she is still considered a human. She has Umbreon-like ears, tail, red eyes, and fangs, in addition to the normal human tan skin, short brown hair, and wears a white t-shirt and jeans, in addition to the general human shape. Her un-human features are considered a disorder and the similarities to the Pokemon are considered to be a coincidence.

Kurai woke up in her home, startled by a nightmare she couldn't remember. It's not out of place for her to have bad dreams, but they seem to be coming more and more frequent. The most annoying this is that she rarely remembers, and if she did, only brief flashes.

The strange-looking human climbed out of bed, and got dressed for the day. Then she remembered. She's gonna get her first Pokemon!

I woke up and came out of Kurai's closet "That was a bizzare sleepover..." I muttered, My cloak always covered a good 60-70% of my face, and I never seemed to change outfits or cloaks.

(OoC: I'm gonna try to go along with that. XD )

"Yeah, it was," she replied, glad that he was in the closet the when she was getting dressed, because to be honest, she didn't know where Blue ended up at.
"Oh yeah, do you remember? We're going to get our Starter Pokemon from Professor Oak!"

"Yup, I remember. I hope we're not late though." I said looking at a clock

Kurai checked the time. "Oh no! We're going to be late!"

The clock that was conviently placed literally said they were three minutes late.

"Aw Crikey." I muttered jumping out a nearby window and landing onto a conveniently placed couch "that was a bad idea.." I muttered

Kurai took the safer route and ran downstairs. Her mother was away at work, so she haven't gotten to say goodbye. The female dashed outside, towards the Pokemon Lab.

I stood outside the lab door ready to go in

Kurai arrived just as Blue did.
"Whew! I hope we're not too late," she said, knocking on the door.

"I hope that I get a Fire type..." I muttered "And same here" I said back to Kurai before entering the lab

Professor Oak was absent. However, a lab assistant was here. He was a bit taken aback by the duo's appearances. Kurai was personally embarrassed. She had forgotten to put on the shades, baseball cap, and long thin coat to cover her more unusual features, but she was used to not wearing them when she was in town.
"Erm...hello there! I'm afraid that the Pokemon Professor left for an errand, but there is a Pokemon! Unfortunately, we could only find one, so you must decide who gets it. Anyways, uh, once you two decide, I'll give you your PokeDexes."
