Ok sorry joey but i'm going against everyone else.
it's your first so yes it's going to be bad.
I should go get some of my first and you'll be amazed.
I'm going to give you some things to look up.
-Flow
-Colour
Okay lets explain a bit

Flow:
Look at the render, so see how he seems to be leaning to his right? this makes the flow follow his body. so it would've been a diagonal line from the bottom right to the top left, but not quite at that harsh an angle

Colour:
You haven't done too bad here but, Always try to use colours from the render. so more of a green from the jacket or the purple~y colour from his undershirt

Intrepid I know it sucks :D hmm yeah I will try and follow some of your tuts as I have no clue at photoshop but slowly learning :D

Would it help if I do a tut specifically on tools?

Yes that would be a great help :D. I use cs5, it took me nearly 30mins to find the bucket tool :L. The blur tool to awhile to find :p. So a vid/slideshow would help, as I'm more of a visual learner, so vids/slideshow tuts would work best for me, other then just all righting :p. Thanks for the tut when you get round to doing it :D
