I cant figure out how to train my pokemon and earn money

To train your pokemon go to the Battles section on the left hand side, it contains various ways t battle.

One on the most effective ways to train:

Battles > NPC Fights > Intermediate Trainers > The first one > Battle - Swimmer Richard > Bolt strike twice > Restart battle and use bolt strike twice again etc.

or if its a ghost type go to the bird keeper

Should you go on player fights

Go to NPCs, then find Swimmer Richard or Bird Tamer. If you pick Swimmer Richard, use Bolt Strike until the your pokemon faint, then switch in the next. When there's one hit left to KO the Prinplup, switch in the pokemon you want leveled up and use Bolt Strike again. If you pick Bird Tamer, do the same process, but with the move Blizzard. And ONLY do the first bird (which is a Pidgeot, iirc? I haven't trainer there for awhile it's hard to remember.)
