he told the man that he did not want to battle him but wanted to catch the Gyarados first. He used Ursaring and he used Focus Blast on Gyarados and it got hurt. He used the pokeball and...

Then the boy went after garados and found a master ball on the ground and threw it at garados but it dodged it and the ball hit a kyogre and caught it :)
