point of homework?

what is the point of homework when the teacher is going to just throw it away

It helps you to practice your classes, to make sure you can remember the material being taught

how are you so sure your teachers throw them away? if u mean they throw it away after they grade them, then yeah. but homework is to excerise what you learned

Right now, we are doing a whole bunch of group projects that are worth 55% of our grade, and this is in high school credit classes. This is pointless,because if group members don't do their work, your grade is ruined. The district really didn't think these kinds of projects through.
