Yeah it was stated in yahoo when I searched it.

The "Shiny" butterfree was just a different color, the first shiny is noctowl, when serbii and bulbepedia agree, its not wrong, and I have watched all the episodes too. Unless you count ho-oh, but no one knows if the glitter stuff coming off ho-oh is because its shiny or because its legendary.
