This was a helpful guide I was able to benefit from before I had enough badges to post on these forums. However, I do see one mistake. You lumped "Shiny" in with the other colored pokemon and stated that they can only be gotten through promotions. I've acquired several shinies without purchasing promos (which I don't have enough gym badges to get)... I caught a shiny cloyster in the ice cave (which I sold in auction); and received several shinies through the lucky dip, including a sy.Golurk, the evolution of which is still in my party.
