how do you get special pokemon i have never even found one is all you do is walk around and eventually do you just need to get lucky to find one or is their some hints to find one

special pokemon are Cursed/Shadow/Luminous/Rainbow. you cant find them on maps. you can only trade, buy, get it from a promo, ect. not in maps. shiny pokemon are found in maps though
