Hellsing and it's ova, hellsing ultimate is good. Try Durarara!! it's an interesting anime, although I haven't finished watching it. Clannad is also a great anime, it's kind of different from the genre you suggested, but, it has some kind of mysterious feel to it.

Great animes, man I have alot of those. One of my favorites (and first) is the original Pokemon. The ones nowadays are just... stretched out. But my favorite one of all is Hetalia. I recommend you look it up right now.
