I remember my teacher saying that the end of the earth would be caused by a meteor, just like what happened in prehistoric times... but I think it won't happen any time soon... or that's what I want to believe in... XD

yeah its really exciting to watch the earth get destroyed in movies but in real life there wont be a hero to make a happy ending

I have heard of that in school and it said that we were always close to getting hit by an asteroid/meteor but we are lucky and misses.
