My laptop crashed once when I shut it off right after I plugged in a USB CD reader.

And for the past 2 mos it's been saying:

Disk read error
Press CTRL + ALT + DEL to reboot

I've done that but that message still appears.

If the disk read error is coming up without the external cd drive hooked up, you have a bad hard drive. I would suggest that you replace with a solid state drive, as they are much more stable.

Yeah, what they said. My netbook is all bad too. My mom says it has water in it, but I never had it around water, can anyone tell me this?

My laptop already broke a hundred times by viruses, errors and such... but with a friend that knows how to clean a computer, there's no problem. :)

just try google crome or download the clean my PC it will help u on some part of your laptop

You probably have a virus or your comp has too many programs installed into it Try to check it for viruses or delete some programs

Pdog, that message, i believe prevents the use of the computer. He cant check programs or viruses

Well just take it to a Shop, Or a technition better than amateur advice :/ Just my opinion
