I personally use direct downloads because there's a less chance of it being a virus but for me torrents are for big files :P

I've DLed lots of torrents and have only gotten a virus from it once (2yrs ago) in several years. I love that if I want to play some old games, I can just download a small torrent file now and there's no need for a game system and lots of cartridges.
