I see people at level a thousand how do they get that high is it a secret way or just extreme training.

For beginners I guess doing Swimmer Richard or the Bird Trainer in NPC battles is the fastest way to level up.
But for intermediate players, having toxic and megahorn to defeat a mew is much more profitable and efficient. |

battle the Bird Tamer instead and use bolt strike( if you're using a golurk or other ghost type ). Because all the moves on his pokemon are either normal or fighting, they will have no effect on ghost :)
