Perhaps we are all dead and we don't know it yet. That, or we could be just part of the imagination of someone else. Call me a conspirist, but I have no way to prove whether it is true, nor do I have any way to prove it false.

This one is pretty interesting in the fact that I was discussing it with a friend just yesterday. It all comes down to: do we even really exist at all. If god exists, who created him and who created the person that created god? If god doesn't exist, how did the single particle that started the big bang get here? What if the 'ghosts' people are seeing are the living and we're the ghosts? If atoms aren't the smallest particle and neither are quarks or gluons, what is? How do we know it doesn't keep going on, getting forever smaller? These are all questions that really have no answer. What I believe is that we exist in all states at different times. If we die, our energy is recycled for the next 'us' that comes in to existance, just like a sun sucks stuff out of the universe to use as fuel to eventually explode and make the next sun that explodes and makes the next one.

This idea is neat, however would we be having this conversation. The notion of past lives and dejavu, suggests that this may be an answer.
