Hey today guys I learned about a biome, And it is a tundra, I don't know how to describe it's characteristics, Can you help?

Well, a tundra is full of ice and snow. So it should be white, right? Also, where there's ice and snow, it has to be cold. So it's cold and white, right?

Characteristics of tundra include:

Extremely cold climate
Low biotic diversity
Simple vegetation structure
Limitation of drainage
Short season of growth and reproduction
Energy and nutrients in the form of dead organic material
Large population oscillations

tundra has rough soil so there isn't that many plants there (along with the sheer cold) along with polar bears and penguins :P

One of my younger siblings did a biome on the Tundra.

Just trying to remember if it was something like "Permafrost" which I think prevents the plants from growing in certain places because of the way the soil is.
It's probably too cold for anything to grow any way.

Animals like polar bears and arctic foxes live in the tundra I think. Did a project on the tundra in 7th grade :P

It's a wide, icy cold area with little to no animal activity or vegetation.
