why did the rates go up?

Yay! We are hoping to get the rates back up so that the economy will be a lot better. Because if the training rates are so low, that everyone will eventually get a high leveled poke and then that means more competition and that means EVEN more higher leveled pokes.
So practically More Competetion ---> Lower rates ---> More High Leveled pokes ---> EVEN more Competition. Just a big circle.

ya but their is going to be that one person that still trains for like 50 coins then every one will go to them.

Burger- That one person will be swarmed and won't be able to finish in time. Quality over Price.

unless they have a really high lvld pokemon then they will be super rich and they might only take sum jobs.

If it was 10k a billion back in the day, (2010 lol) then this is fine, you need to keep in mind, zapdos the best trainer in the game, had to do this if he wanted training. This is influencing people to train on their own again.

i still think that the rates should be lowered... by alot! 200 coins per bill!? man i get mine for 15 coins a bill! we should keep it like that.. for example we all have lvl.5k since the low rate trainings... then there will be alot of people with even higher lvl's!!! and having a 5k will be nothing! so i think its better..
