They can't do that with alcohol though, it's too ingrained in cultural traditions. Look at what happened in the early 20th century when Prohibition was instituted and repealed soon after.

About marijuana its been a long issue in the US whether they would legalize the use of marijuana I think they made a just or wise decision as they really can't stop all the people from taking it.

I say that it's bad and just give drug addicts/dealers an excuse to use drugs. There are people who need this, then let them have a permit for the need of this and also a reason why they need, so that way it helps the people they need to help while keeping it away from everyone else.
