There is a trade cap. If they're trainer level isn't lvl 269 they can't have that traded or sent to them.

I would say that the lag is causing pokemon to disappear. Log out and log back in, then restart the trade. Worked for me lots of times. If that doesn't work, you are out of luck and just can't trade to whoever you are trying to trade with. I would say this is a logical way to fix the problem.

It says at top trade cap 500(thats default)
