Hollywood Undead is my favorite band. Because of it's party songs, and meaningful songs as well.

Not really familiar with those bands mentioned above but I say Fall Out Boys and One Republic are really good.

Personally I have been a big fan of The Script since they started back in 2001/2002. I saw one of their performances on youtube when people started recognizing them. If you don't quite like their music but like the flow of it (melodies and harmonies) a close band would be Coldplay.

ive checked out quite a few and i like nirvana and green day the best, but dont listen to many bands anymore

Nirvana is one of the few bands I like in the rock genre. :)
