By doing hitdown , daily raffle, fishing contest, lucky dip. Just a few ways to earn some coins.

To get coins, you will have to work a bit hard. Follow these things
1. In the beginning, you have 30 coins. Exchange 10 coins for money from an older player. Use this money to get pokeballs.
2. Catch a few pokemon, and then keep a useless pokemon in your first slot and random swap until you get a shiny.
3. Sell those shinies in auction house;you can sell two in a day!Although the profit is lower than what you can get by directly selling to others, it allows you to sell them in 1 day.On the other hand, it will take you a long time to get someone to buy them.
4. If possible, exchange them with a colored pokemon from other person and sell the colored pokemon.(Sometimes the profit is more)
5. Train everyday;occasionally pay others either in shinies or by coins to train for you.(Train only one pokemon;reccomendation is a ghost type)
Buy a house which allows you to grow berries;buy a pecha berry and start growing! Do lab taks, and if bored...play in games corner.
6. Once you have enough coins, buy toxic and teach it to your highest leveled pokemon(the ghost pokemon).
7. Now, in your team, keep your highest leveled pokemon and start beating all gyms.
8. After this, keep 5 others in your team(recommendation golett/golurk) and fight mysterious trainer in dark alley.
9. Use toxic in your first turn, then switch to other ghosts. Toxic takes away 10% health in each turn, so when the mew is going to die in next turn, switch to your main pokemon(toxic user, highest leveled pokemon) and use any move. Mew will faint and your pokemon will get lots of exp.
10. Once your main pokemon is leveled enough, start training for others for coins!
