well its not a bug. its been there as long s i have been here.
i have noticed that too. so i guessed it was ended and never updated.

but as you say i just noticed the 1969. so yes thats an error :D

The contest hasn't even been hosted for a while(I think). So I think it should just be taken out of the game.

Lol i laughed pretty hard when i saw that xD. I never knew Glitches could be that funny. But i want that Contest restarted :3

It's probably like the Creation Date for Pokemon.
It's given an approximate date.
Some Pokemon are given a Creation Date of 1969 as well.

Nope, it's the creation date for a server most computers use, which started on January 1, 1970. You can search up more on it by typing "December 31, 1969" on Google and other search engines.
