The towers pokemon are 4-5x the highest level pokemon in your team, so having higher level pokemon just mean you will have to battle stronger pokemon.

The problem with this is that you could get 1HKO'd or be constantly using berries/potions to heal your pokemon and you will not get too far, but you could always use Full Restore potions if your budget is huge and you feel you have found another way to beat the towers with higher level pokemon.

Also,I found that in the 'For the Towers' section and in its 2nd point you have accidently written 'wile' instead of 'while',it is also visible in the Second Method!
