Cutting of trees is rising day by day for making furnitures, etc. Deforestation should be reduced as plants gives us oxgen and takes Carbon dioxide.. Pollution is rising since trees are getting low in numbers! Gobal warming is increasing.. We should stop cutting trees and plant more and more trees.. What do you think about it?

Agreed. But if stopped, it also reduces living standard of people. One thing, they should use gas instead of firewood.

Should start using CNG gas.. It may reduce pollution little..

People can still cut trees but they should replace them by planting new ones(meaning planting seeds again or whatever it is).

As time goes on, the rate of deforestation increases. It has been speculated that 50% (or half) of the world's total tropical forests have been wiped out! Some people (like brys18) have commented that the trees which are cut down should be replaced by planting new ones. In theory, this a good solution but in reality, trees are being cut down to make lands available for housing and other stuffs. Okay, I will stop now, I am sounding like a lecturer :)

Which is why in many states, such as Maryland, if a tree is cut down to make place for a new house, then for each tree destroyed, they must plant two.
