Try to be spontanious and random and funny like me! That's why I naturally attract so many people to me. It also helps to just get into to what everyone else gets into and start social groups and stuff. Or, on class projects and all that, make something awesome and unique, like a science project about explosions, or maybe the study of why dog's don't sweat. Hope this helped!

What kinds of things do you like? Chess? Skiing? Swimming? Video Games? Animals? Get into things like a Chess Club, or work in an animal shelter or something if you're interested. You'll meet a lot of people with the same interests as you and you can bond with them. And notice of how you don't have to pretend to be someone you're not just to make friends. IF you don't like Justin Bieber, then good for you! You don't have to! And there will be conversations like these, too (believe me, I went through some of these. Also notice these are examples. I myself don't like JB, but if you do, I won't be mad.)
Situation 1:
You: I don't like Justin Bieber.
Person: Then you stink!
^How to handle this; Walk away and ignore it. When you have a chance, let a trusted adult know.
Situation 2:
You: I like Pokémon.
Person: OMG! You can't like Pokémon 'cause you're a girl! (yes, believe me there were a bunch of people at my school who picked on me because I like things that people label "boy stuff" and I'm a girl.)
^How to handle this; Just say something like this: "So what? Too bad you don't also like it. You really don't know what you're missing!" and then walk away. If the teasing continues, tell a trusted adult.

But you have to remember if they want you to do something you don't want to or don't feel comfortable with, don't do it! Also as I mentioned, stick to what you like, but don't be afraid to try new things. Who knows? You might like them!

Yeah, you are right

As mentioned before, join clubs and activities. I joined chorus in 7th grade and made so many friends there. Try to notice what the people around you like. I see lots of people reading manga at my school and we talk sometimes. Have patience. It takes forever to build an iron-clad friendship that will never be destroyed.
