I know of 5 types of pikmin, Their advantages and disadvantages I'll state

Red Pikmin, Immune to Fire, can be electricuted, poisoned and drowned, Can lift a weight of 1 pikmin
Blue Pikmin- Immune to Drowning, Can be burned, poisoned, and electrocuted, Can lift 1 Pikmin
Yellow Pikmin- Immune to electricity, Can be drowned, poisoned or burned, Can lift 1 pikmin, All but Purple Pikmin can lift 1 pikmin.
Purple- No Immunities, Can crush enemies because they are fat, They are slow, Fat, but strong, They can lift 10x the ammount of a normal Pikmin can

White Pikmin- Can poison enemies when eaten, and when attacking, Can go through poison, They are kind of Albino, because they have red beady eyes and are completely white, But the leaf is purple when a bud and flower, I'll give you the pictures when I'm on a computer
