Why would people quit if Prestige is implemented?

There are alternative solutions I have posted in the thread as I have seen that not everyone agrees with the prestiging idea. However, one solution must definitely be implemented to conserve the value of 1k and keep the value of levels more constant.

The higher level trainers benefit too much while the noobs barely benefit with this system.

Honestly Da Man even if Prestige was implemented the value of the 1k pokemon would never be conserved ever again, let alone now. If the prestige max would of be 10k 15k or even 25k, people value having those levels than a 1k. If you really want to preserve a level, you might want to jump the gun based off of this past experience and try to conserve the value of a 10k. As I do not see the value of a 1k ever coming back.

As for the higher level trainers benefiting from this too much while the noobs don't, it will depend on how you look at it. I know for a fact while under about 18k fainting one mew gets you one level. Up around 50k however, it is not that case. It takes me 2-3 battles for a level. (btw leveling should be a bit more harder, like one level=4 or 5 battles the higher you are)

If you look at it as in a way of training jobs yes higher levels can train a 1k instantly. The thing is Majority of the high levels had to take numerous time consuming days to gain the ability to do so. Therefore training jobs are benefiting to higher levels. If people do not take the time to earn the ability to do so then they should not just jump into training jobs expecting to make a killing.

Just by looking at these 2 things I can see 3 problems that stick out like a sore thumb you should fix.
1. Find a formula for leveling that will keep fainting one mew gain one level until around 15k, then while it is still decreasing in the amount of battles to earn one level hit par of about 2 battles per level at 30k, then 3 battles per level around 40k, then 4 or 5 around 50k, etc.

2. Create a cap on the amount of levels a pokemon being trained can earn after one level. For example 200-500 max per battle so it takes longer to train (meaning longer to make 1k's and 10k's).

3. Possible pull out 50/50 gambling to avoid people being able to buy massive amounts of training. Or perhaps create a daily or weekly fee to use it like a casino would require as an entrance fee.

Because taking something out that people worked hard for is frustrating. Simple.
