I tell him ((Let's say it's chicken XD)) and let go of the strings of the parka.

"I think I have some chicken in the freezer." Oxy said. "Why don't we just come to my house and I'll fix us up some food and we'll chat." Oxy suggested.

I carefully pull the hood to cover my eyes and uncover my mouth. "Okay..." I say, now adjusting it to normal.

Oxy led them back to his house. He took the chicken out of the freezer to let it start defrosting. After seeing his plate on the windowsill was empty he took it and washed it in the sink. "Kenny, is there anything you want to eat besides chicken?" Oxy asked.

"Mf. (No.)" I say.

Oxy unwrapped the chicken and prepared it. He put it in the oven and set a timer. He sat down with Kenny and Karen. "How about we talk a bit while the chicken is cooking." Oxy suggested.

I look at Karen, then shrug. "Mmf mmmrm mmph mmrmf mmrm mm.. MMMF MMMRM MMMF! (Well I'm not like most kids... MY PARENTS SUCK!) I say.

Oxy nodded. "My parents left me when I was ten years old." Oxy said. "I picked up cooking to feed myself." Oxy explained. "The pet shop is having a sale today. You get a free pet if you're under sixteen." Oxy said. "You can get a pet and then we can go through the canyon together!" Oxy suggested.

I get up. "Mmmf mmmph mmmrm mmmf. ((That sounds okay to me.))" I say.

The timer went off and Oxy took the chicken out of the oven. He got out a knife and cut the chicken up. He served the chicken to his guests and then to himself.

I just picked out the bones to begin with, but Karen began eating.

"I can make refreshments too." Oxy said. "You want anything to drink to go along with your chicken?" Oxy asked.

Karen asks for soda. I stay quiet.

"Sure Karen. What kind do you want?" Oxy asked. "What about you, Kenny?" Oxy asked uneasy with the silence of the boy.

"Mmmmf mmrm mmph mmrmf. (I don't really care.)" I say.
