It was a beautiful day. I was sitting at my kitchen table eating breakfast. Soon, I would go to the Pokemon Lab and get a starter.

(Do we start on the same town/city and get the starter on the same lab? lol)

I woke up late. I remembered that I'll be getting my first Pokemon and got excited. I ran out of my room and went to the Pokemon lab.

After I finished my breakfast, I walked to the Pokemon Lab. The professor greeted me.
"Ah, hello Amy. I assume you're here to get your starter Pokemon?" he asked.
"Yes sir!" I replied.
He led me to a room in his lab that had two doors at the back.
"The one on the left has Rose Pokemon. The one on the right has Chili Pokemon. Both were discovered recently. Not much is known about either. I'm going to give you one of these Pokemon to be your starter. I want you to take that Pokemon, and travel across the region finding as many Rose and Chili Pokemon as you can so we can learn more about them." he told me.
"What kind would you like? Rose or Chili?"
"Rose, please." I replied.
He led me through the left door. On a small table were three Poke Balls.
"You can choose from Rose Snivy-" he began, tossing the leftermost one into the air. Out popped a Snivy. But it was a different color than normal Snivy. It was almost like a shiny one, only a different color even from the shinies.
"-Rose Oshawott-" he continued, tossing the middle one into the air. Out of it came an Oshawott.It looked similar in color to the Snivy.
"-or Rose Tepig." he finished, tossing the final ball into the air. Out came a Tepig. It also looked similar in color to the Oshawott and Snivy.
"Now. Choose one. It will be your partner-your friend." he said.
I studied the three Pokemon. They looked at me with pleading eyes. I thought for a few minutes, and finally decided.
"I pick the Snivy." I replied.
The Oshawott and Tepig gave me sad looks, and the Snivy seemed really pleased with my decision.
"Alrighty then." the professor said, handing me Rose Snivy's Poke Ball.
"And you should take this, to keep track of all the other Pokemon you encounter on your journey." he added, handing me a Pokedex.
I took the Pokedex from him.
"Thank you!" I told him. He nodded. I looked to my new Snivy.
"We should probably get looking." I told it.
"VEE!" it answered, following me out the door.
(And yes, you can go into towns, and battle at gyms. xD Because of the starters, we're going by Unova Gyms and such.)

As I enter the Pokemon Lab, a girl walked past by me.
"Who could that be?" I thought to myself.
I entered and the professor greeted me.
"Hello Rico, excited to receive your brand new Pokemon?" the professor asked.
"Yes!" I shouted.
"First of all, what kind of Pokemon do you want to have? Rose or -"
"Rose?! What kind of Pokemon is that?" I interrupted.
"It's a newly discovered kind of Pokemon along with Chili. As I was saying, will it be Rose or Chili?" the professor asked.
"A Rose one please." I said.
He led me into a room with 3 Pokeballs sitting on a table.
"The left Pokeball contains a Snivy, the middle contains an Oshawott, and the right one contains a Tepig. All are excited to be with their new trainers. Now choose one. It will be your partner for the rest of your journey." he said.
"I pick the Oshawott!" I replied.
The professor handed me the Pokeball along with a Pokedex.
"Good luck on your journey!" he shouted.
"Thanks prof!" I replied.
I threw my Pokeball and Oshawott got out.
I opened the door with Oshawott behind my back.

I made my way into Route 1.
"I wonder what kind of Pokemon I'll find here?" I asked myself.
"Snivy?" Rose Snivy asked. It looked around. There didn't seem to be any other Pokemon around.
"Oh silly me. That doesn't matter if I don't have any Poke Balls!" I laughed, walking to Accumula Town.
