I do not know why but I just do not like how if you are walking in a map, trying to get to Ghost/Kyogre/Moltres/etc. and all of a sudden you find a Shiny pokemon.
You go to click on your pokeball and then you move, and the shiny pokemon disappears.It just makes me feel so angry at myself.

I think that on maps that have paths you should not be able to find pokemon on the path.

Then what's the point of the maps?
Also, the problem is you're going too fast. You need to slow down.

Maybe suggest getting more 'turns' to catch a shiny pokemon, rather than it running off after one pokeball fails. Maps would be pointless, and this whole site too, if we didn't catch pokemon on maps. Random encounters are what keeps the entire pokemon thing afloat.
