"What's wrong?" Gem asked Ray, cocking her head.

"Um nothing." Ray said. "I'm just confused."

"Whyyyyyy?" Gem asked her round face inches from Ray's.

"I woke up and fell into a portal to here." Ray said. "I have no clue where I am."

"I accidentally walked in." Gem said nonchalantly, shrugging.

"Does anyone know why we're here?" Ray asked.

"It's because," Gem turned around, got on one knee and said dramatically with one hand on her heart, "We're the stars of tomorrow!"

"The what?" Ray said. "My tomorrow is over. My military service is done. They can't legally force me back in."

Gem turned around. "Don't fret! We'll get through it!" She said happily.

"No, I'm old, my body's torn to crap. How am I supposed to be the future of anything? Future of retirement homes, maybe?"

"Don't down yourself like that."

I whip my hair out of my eyes. "I honestly think out of the sad excuses of pokemorphs we make, we might be able to accomplish something," I mutter, crossing my arms.

"Well I guess we'll see what happens." Ray said.

"What are we supposed to do?"

"I guess we sit here and wait for something interesting to happen." Ray said.
