The figure teleported away.

Icarus headed towards Ace, who he saw as bleeding profusely, "Ace...Ace..." he said, "If I said anything last night after you turned on combat mode.....please forget it." he said, as tears streamed down his face. "Can I please help you?" he said, extending his help.

I was already dead, all life force drained as Midnite (the figure) laughed wildly far away.

Icarus continued to weep, "ACE! ACE! ****** ACE!" he yelled. "DON'T YOU DIE ON ME! WHO'LL LOOK AFTER AERO!" he pleaded. As his weeping and shouts died down, he pulled out a S2 core from a previous Angel fight and considered inserting it into Ace, but decided not to due to the catastrophic results from the last S2 engine.

"This can't be." Shulk said rushing over to Ace's body. He tried all the healing he knew try to revive him, but with no luck.

Nikolai limped into his car. "Now who's laughing, I always get my way." Nikolai sped off.

Combat Mode switched back on as Icarus heard Nikolai, "Target not eliminated, repairing." he said as he warped back into EVA form and picked up Nikolai's car.

Nikolai jumped out of his car. "Be careful with that." He said calmly, "There's only 7 of those cars left in existence."

Icarus put it down after cutting the brakes and gas to engine, "Who was that figure?" he demanded, with the gas splattering on the ground.

"To be honest I don't know." Nikolai said, "And I don't care, I achieved what I went for, and that was to regain my position."

Icarus sighed, "Fine, I'll let you go, but if I hear you kill anyone that's close to me and my friends. I will not hesitate to find you and give you a death like your idiotic underlings." he said as he pointed to the heartless snipers laying on the ground.

Nikolai looked at Icarus. "Your primary target was Jefferson Tornyak Ryan, correct?" He said.

Icarus nodded, "Correct, he was my target until the person who asked for his body ceased to live. Current objective is to return life to one; Ace." he said as he looked at his friends corpse.

"Just so you know, he'll be in or around the local hospital." Nikolai said. "He had a heart attack seconds before he was supposed to kill Aero."

Icarus laughed a bit, "That's a bit ironic for a killer isn't it?" he said as he did a patient scan at all area hospitals.
