one can also get it as a prize from a few contests but that happens very rairly, i still dont have one though

You need crafting level 100+. Its too hard unless if u use crafting books!
Then craft, ancient fossil + rare candy + masterball + Fresh water then, you can craft ancient pokemons! There is a chance of failing too! And you'll get ash!!! Also, you can trade it with some players. If its usual, then they rate it from 6k to 8k. Thats all. Thanks edit: it was fresh water instead of bowl of water! Sry...
