Try putting some of the brushes above the render next time to give it a bit more depth. Here I would put them in the bottom left going along his shoulder line on a layer above him. keep up the good work :)

Wow! That looks really good! I don't have photoshop, so IDK how a lot of that works, but it looks like it took a lot of work. :P I like it.
