A bat-like Nightmarish was attacking Flain, trying to get the plate.

The Nightmarish bat fell down with an ear-piercing screech.

A wolf-like Nightmarish tried to go after Shade, but Nova immediately killed it, showing zero mercy for attempting to hurt the baby Dark Dragon.

"Where are these things coming from?" Roaderrick said as he continued to breath fire

Four more went down.

"I have no idea." The Infernite used the torch to burn another one.

Roaderrick continued to use fire breath, but was beginning to tire

Another three went down, as did another one when Flain burned it to death.

Nova finished off a Nightmarish, and pinned the last one to the ground. "Why are you attacking us!?" he snarled.

Roaderrick was catching his breath

The Nightmarish growled, "Why should I tell you?"
Nova prepared to breathe his starry breath.
"Alright! I'll talk!"

Roaderrick turned to listen

"O-Our master wants you all dead, be-because you c-can stop him. A-And he also wanted us t-to destroy the K-Key Plate," said the Nightmarish, stuttering from fright.

"Sounds like a strategic narcissist." Roaderrick said.

"Who are you working for?!" Nova demanded.
The Nightmarish looked horrified. "I-I can't speak his name, because h-he will come here."
"TELL US!" he roared.
"D-Darkrai."
Everything grew deathly silent at mention of the name.
