In 2006 a formation of world powers known as the P5 + 1 (or the E3 + 3) began negotiating a deal with Iran to try to keep them from gaining access to nuclear weapons. 9 years later, on July 14, 2015, the countries reached a deal, known as The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. Needless to say, this deal is disastrous. While the fact that it has cut its low enriched uranium pile by 98 percent is a good thing, other smaller details that President Obama tried to get congress to ignore are not. When sanctions lift countries like China and Russia will be able to sell weapons to Iran. 15 years from now Iran will be allowed to continue its research and building of nuclear weapons, and one of Iran's major nuclear sites gets to be inspected by Iran itself. We can not put the blame on President Obama though, as this was a deal that was agreed on by the EU, Germany, France, China, and Russia as well, but he did not stop it, and now it is up to Congress to do so, and if Congress can't stop it and Iran, a country that preaches of death to America, gets a nuclear weapon, what's next for Isreal? What's next for the US? What's next for the world?
