Coding Contest - Pokemon Creed Tool ENDED
ENDED

Congrats to the winners of the coding contest:
1st: @inTech jacktheking (entry on forum): Choice of Lumi, Glitter or Golden Mew + 150k coins + 10 Shadow Boxes
2nd: @BrokeBoy (entry on #tech): Choice of a coloured Mew that's leftover (in Da Man #1) + 30k coins. Plz tell me ur preferred mews in order of preference so I can quickly send the prize after jacktheking picks.
3rd: chinnustorage (entry on forum): 10 Shadow Boxes + 10k Coins

Make what: Code an external tool related to Pokemon Creed, such as a Box Organiser, Level Calculator, guide website, greasemonkey addon, rating sum, chat bot or almost anything you like related to Pokemon Creed Tool (no trolls). Can enter existing code you made in the past. But, please reference code you didn't make, otherwise it's plagiarism and will result in disqualification. No need to reference common libraries like jQuery or Bootstrap. It might not even be a tool, but something Pokemon Creed related. Must not be something against rules (e.g. botting) and nothing illegal. You could participate as a team, or make something not related to Pokemon Creed (would be penalised or rated lower than Pokemon Creed related entries).

Ownership: Not required for the source code to be published or seen by me if you want, but if it's suspected that you didn't make it, I would need to inspect part of the code to see to be eligible for prizes, and/or a small technical discussion via Discord. The code for the entries will be owned by you and not me, so you can do what you want with it outside the contest. I will be screening for potential good lead developers/coders, along with other coders to assist this new lead coder.

Prizes:
Top 3 will receive a very good prize, TBD. Might be more than 3 winners if entries are good. Top 1 will also receive a Creed Coder userbar. Prize value will increase if the entry is good. Not sure what kind of entries to expect as coders are in scarcity, but for the top entry, if it is exceedingly good, like really really good and not just good, there is a priceless surprise prize. If there is a particular entry that shows a coder is proactive, takes initiative, a self-learner, then that coder could be considered to be a new owner of Creed (see news #updates).

Judgement:
Technical impressiveness (probably the most weighting), but also the overall picture, in usefulness, especially how well it is received/liked by other players and UI, and how relevant it is to Pokemon Creed (and not some random app), and also how much you use your common sense. Any malicious code, viruses, hackers will be banned. Bonus points if it's deployed.

Recommended languages (you don't have to use these): HTML/JS/CSS (frontend web, needed if it's a web tool), PHP (optional), MySQL (bonus).

Free hosting (pick one, can use another if you like): [you must login to view links] (if using static frontend code only, easy to use) or [you must login to view links] (if using PHP as well, or MySQL).

The resources are guidelines only, you are free to use other resources/tools/languages, it doesn't matter what you make as long as it's sensible (and related to Creed), use your common sense. Post entries in this thread and in #tech, do not PM them. There are not many strict requirements, as long as it is very related to Pokemon Creed. Don't want to be too strict with the requirements as I want your imagination to run wild and not in a cage. Use your common sense on what you can build. Up to 5 entries, but quality > quantity. When making anything, a big tip is, feedback can really help, so you can publish entries early, then modify your entries all the way until the deadline, to help you get that early feedback from other players (e.g. quick feedback from the #tech channel).

Don't know where to start and not a coder? Try [you must login to view links] but you may need a lot of free-time if you don't know coding (learning via YouTube), preferably in a holiday/summer-break. No need to ask "Da Man, can I do this?", use your common sense and this thread.

TL;DR Code something Creed-related (nothing illegal, use common sense) for a prize. Post entries on #tech in Discord and/or here.

Looking for artists to help create sprites/UI/tiles/backgrounds/characters for Pokemon Creed. If interested, PM me with portfolio.[/b]
