Lol, ^ He's not trying to sprite though.
He's just making it for a sig (I think.. Lol), so I believe it looks really good.
I think you should outline it or something too, and maybe add a slight glow.
(I'll help you with that if you need help.. Lol :P)

Take the picture in photoshop
Menus>Layer>Layer Style>Outer Glow

You can make a nice golden glow in that :)

I like the look of the golden skitty. I do agree with the other mentions of a more golden glow, but still, it just looks so cool, and cute!

To me it looks a bit too bronze to be considered golden. Maybe add more yellow and a better shine to pass it off as golden
