Part 1 of Many..... this is a part of a story I wrote.... :) I will post two paragraphs everyday

There was somebody missing at the table. It was the king’s queen... and you have no clue what I’m on about. Let me start again. Once upon a time, in a far away land, there lived a king. He was a very sad king; he wanted a daughter or son very much but didn’t have a queen! So one day, the poor king decided “I will have a queen!” and rode far and wide to find his queen.

That would have been the way I would have opened a fairy tale with a happy ending but no, this isn’t a fairy tale for children who dream of knights and Kings slaying the evil dragon and rescuing the damsel in distress. This is about the truth of evil backstabbing and corrupt kings, this is about knights who strayed from the righteous path. This is the truth, this is the life.

I just Realised how stupid my story sounds -.- just forget My first post here. I'll restart...


The knight’s eyes darted side to side as he looked for his dinner. It was evening here in Duskville, named appropriately for the predators of dusk. Duskville was mainly a forest but shocks of rivers or canals very other kilometre, and each prey has to look for food during the day with high visibility for they couldn’t risk night time scavenger hunts for fear of predators. Predators like the knight. The knight was called Sir Jeoffrey but many years ago due to rumours and scandals, he was stripped of his rank, wealth and land and now had to fight to survive. It was eat or be eaten.

The knight slowly crept towards his feast. Oblivious to the knight, was a deer, the deer was brown with white spots and it was drinking from the river nearby to quench its thirst. It must have been very tired as it had also chosen a spot under a tree. The knight didn’t care about the deer’s peace as he had started imagining the taste of such a morsel, one he hadn’t had for a long time, his mouth watered as he relished his yet to be victory. That was his first mistake. He continued creeping up to the deer. There was a blur of black and red from the tree. A scream. A thump. The knight was dead and the deer had run. Why is it that people never look up?

On top of Sir Jeoffrey was a very tall silhouette crouching down as to pick something from the knight but in truth the silhouette had his blade in the knights back; the figure was Seurith Anallo de Azazel, the Soul Hunter. Seurith Anallo was a legend; Folklore, Poems and Sects were devoted to his name. Survivors of his hunts had spread rumours that they saw a blood-red blur before they saw him. They never survived more than a day, they were found later with a blade in their chest. People had told wondrous tales of his exploits, most of which have been exaggerated and the others, true to the dot. I am here to tell you which is which. How? Because I am Seurith Anallo. And I am a Soul Hunter.

I dragged Sir Jeoffrey’s body towards the river, in his eyes I saw nothing but surprise. I closed his eyes and made the Death’s Mercy sign1, and whispered a quick prayer “Possa la vostra anima troverà riposo...”2 As this was said, I silently cut a strand from the knights hair. This was the first time I could see my fray’s appearance properly.

Sir Jeoffrey looked quite peaceful, if he hadn’t given into his animalistic urges he would have been quite a handsome person. Broad shouldered, thick necked, high cheekbones, blue eyes, blond hair and a knight’s title. Horrible what the Dark Lord could do to normal people. As I thought this, the weather changed, instead of the calm rustling that was happening, great gusts of wind blew from the north. I looked up from the dead knight’s body. There was nothing out of the ordinary. But I knew better, after all, given my heritage.
