Pokemon Encounter Button Addition
Alright, so, my idea is about adding a secondary button to Pokemon encounters on the maps.

Something like this;

[you must login to view images]

Now, here's my reasoning;

I feel this would make a good addition because I have walked past shinies, and pokemon that I needed for lab tasks, a good number of times now, and only realized I'd done so when it was too late. Having the player be required to acknowledge the pokemon before being able to walking away would solve any accidental losses of Pokemon they wanted to catch.

I suggest freezing the player in place during an encounter, and restoring their movement after they click to 'catch' or 'walk away' from the Pokemon. It wouldn't slow down map hunting much, and like I said before, would cut losses of desired Pokemon.

Thanks for reading, please rate -/10, and tell my why you rate it as you do.

I've walked past Shinies and Pokemon I've needed before, but from that, I learned not to rush it as much. I was going to fast. The REAL issue is people need to slow down. 0/10

Wait, Jeffery0, what do you mean? Without an addition like this they can spam the directional keys to find 'good' things anyways, if anything, I believe this would make that less possible.

And Amy Rose, what about if/when your computer lags, and you press the key again, thinking the command hadn't worked? Is it the player's fault for moving too fast then? I do understand your opinion that people need to slow down, but just because you think that's the way to play, doesn't mean everyone should/will think the same.

If that sounded condescending, sorry. Just trying to understand your point, and get mine through as well.
