My suggestion is as simple as it looks. A badge (like one we get on beating king/queen) would be given anually for.
Person of the year
Staff of the year
Chatter of the year

First choosing the chatter of the year (coz it is easier):
Most blab have an admin panel where it shown about the most talkatives.. some could be taken out of that list and staff select 1 among them.

Next, choosing the Person Of the year : there are many options , first choosing some names from the rankings then based on their forum post , rest the staff decide..

hmm thanks! Btw, chatter of the year is okay! But, in Player of the year, on the basis of which ranking, he'll be choosen ? There are many rankings! If its in pokemon ranking or coins ranking or trainer ranking etc...
